Friends of the Center for LTC Reform in the Northeast Region
Greetings:
The Center for Long-Term Care
Reform is engaged in a year-long "National Long-Term Care Consciousness
Tour." The purpose of our 2008 LTC Tour is to reach the media, legislators,
policy makers, financial advisors, and consumers with a critical message
about the importance of responsible long-term care planning and rational LTC
public policy.
So far, the "Silver Bullet of
Long-Term Care" and I have covered the
Southeast, Southwest and much of the Central East United States. Check out
the latest map of the LTC
Tour's progress
here.
We're headed soon toward the LTC
Tour's Northeast region, including New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island,
Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. We'll be in your area from
mid-July to mid-August. Check out the LTC Tour's Calendar at
http://www.centerltc.com/TourCalendar/General.htm.
Just scroll down to see where we'll be
when in the Northeast this Summer. Look for an open day or time when we're
near you.
Then get involved! How? Several
possibilities.
No charge: if you can gather a
group of 25 or more financial planners, attorneys, CPAs, business owners,
consumers, legislators, policy makers, etc. and schedule an event so that
all I have to do is pull up with the Silver Bullet and give a presentation,
I'll do it for no charge. Alternatively, schedule an interview with a print,
radio or TV reporter or line up a meeting with a Governor or other key
public policy maker and I'll fit it into the itinerary gratis. To schedule:
contact Damon at 206-283-7036 or
damon@centerltc.com . He'll put you in touch with me on the road if it
looks doable.
Nominal honorarium or free
(depending): if you can schedule a major event with the Financial Planning
Association, or a state affiliate of the National Association of Health
Underwriters (NAHU) or the National Association of Insurance and Financial
Advisors (NAIFA), or a local Estate Planning Council, Rotary, or other
organization, so that it fits into the schedule without too much
back-tracking, contact me directly at 425-891-3640 to work out a plan. When
appropriate, we can make WebCE certificates (good for one WebCE course up to
20 hours of credit) available free of charge as an incentive for attendees.
Regional Representative of the
Center: If you are a member of the Center and willing to put up $500 in
"earnest money," I'll work with you to schedule a full day of events in your
city including appearances with the Silver Bullet of Long-Term Care. We'll
provide the promotional and informational materials, but you'll do the
legwork to schedule media interviews, set up presentations, invite
attendees, etc. For details on being a Regional Representative of the Center
for LTC Reform, including a "Regional Rep's Tool Kit" with everything you'll
need to do the job, go to
http://www.centerltc.com/Regional_Rep-Sponsor_Level.htm.
As you can imagine, the logistics
of scheduling the LTC Tour events are daunting. That's why we seek your help
in finding, organizing, and supporting special events that will maximize the
LTC Tour's impact and, hopefully, gain you some valuable recognition as a
long-term care financing expert in your own community. Check out
http://www.centerltc.com/Testimonials.htm for presentation and event
testimonials.
Thanks for your time and interest.
Call Damon at 206-283-7036 or me on exclusive LTC Tour-Phone at 425-891-3640
and join the fun!
Best regards,
Steve
