LTC Bullet:

Center for LTC Financing Needs Your Help

Tuesday, November 14, 2000

Seattle--

Dear Bullets Subscriber,

The Year 2000 has proven to be momentous for the Center for Long-Term Care Financing! The Center's efforts to promote personal responsibility and to publicize the benefits of private-pay long-term care continue to gain momentum with every article, report, speech, interview and LTC Bullet we generate (228 Bullets and counting!).

Moreover, we're now a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization with a distinguished board of directors. Read about the Center's board on our updated website at which has many new features including: (1) an LTC Bullets archive, searchable by date as well as by subject; (2) e-mail access to members of Congress and the media; and (3) tracking of national legislation powered by Capitol Advantage (TM).

The Center is definitely on a roll!

As you know, the Center for LTC Financing's mission is to target our scarce public welfare resources toward the genuinely needy and to encourage everyone else to plan ahead for the risk of long-term care. Our goals are to grow the market for private long-term care solutions and thereby ultimately assure universal access to top-quality care for all Americans.

As a subscriber to LTC Bullets, we recognize your commitment to solving our nation's LTC financing crisis. We at the Center hope to continue advocating a rational and financially viable public policy solution that enables all Americans to obtain high-quality long-term care. But...

***We need your support to make it happen!***

This year, we continued to broaden our recognition in the public policy arena and were able to grow the Center's infrastructure toward even greater influence in the future. We hope to begin 2001 with renewed dedication, strength, and support.

***Our goals are ambitious, the need is great, and we want you to join our team for the coming year.***

Please contact Amy Marohn (425-467-6840 or (A HREF="mailto:amy@centerltc.org">amy@centerltc.com) at the Center as soon as possible to make a contribution to our 2001 pledge drive. We also encourage you to take advantage of your employer's matching gift program (if available) to leverage your contribution. All contributions are tax deductible in accordance with IRS rules governing contributions to 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organizations.

For more information on our plans for the future and how your contribution will make a difference, please visit our website at (A HREF="www.centerltc.org/needhelp.htm" www.centerltc.org/needhelp.htm or contact Center Executive Director David Rosenfeld at 425-467-6840 or david@centerltc.org. If you have an idea for a specific project you'd like to sponsor, please let us know. We'd be happy to share a few of our own sponsorship ideas too!

We know that some of you have already received a fundraising letter and/or a phone call from the Center. We appreciate your willingness to review this additional request for support. A heart-felt thank you to those of you who have already made a pledge. Your support empowers us to continue the fight!

Thanks so much for your help at this critical time-for all of us and the future of LTC in America.

Sincerely,
Center for Long-Term Care Financing
