RE: How to Reduce Medicaid LTC Cost While Improving Care Access and Quality
It's no secret Medicaid's long-term care costs are pinching state's budget. Not so obvious is: "What can we do about it?"
I've spent the last 25 years answering that question . . . first as a career U.S. government employee and since 1989 as a consultant in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors.
Medicaid long-term care expenditures can be radically reduced without compromising care access or quality. Here's how:
Not exactly rocket science. But extremely difficult because key LTC interest groups pursue contradictory goals and strategies.
I conduct low-cost, high-impact studies to help states resolve their long-term care financing problems. Results, including savings at least 10 times the cost of the work, are guaranteed when recommendations are implemented. Some financing possible.
